Lone Ranger: 28 Thrilling Episodes

a good value for sure but there is much better....
If you are curious, this is simply discs 2,4,6 and 7 from the previously released box set and all from season one. This is a terrific sampling from the first season and a great and inexpensive way to sample the beginning of the legend. Of course it would have been better if they included disc 1 with the actual beginning of the Lone Ranger story. A MUCH better deal (now around $20) is this set The Lone Ranger: 75th Anniversary - Seasons 1 and 2 for about twice the investment you get 78 episodes instead of only 28 and all kinds of wonderful extras. I imagine most true lone ranger fans will not even check out this product but I thought I'd tell those curious just what it is.

THE LONE RANGER ON DVD
I don't know why companies can't release a complete series at a good price.
Seasons 1&2 have been released from classic media.

I hope the complete series set will be reduced in price.
The new movie will be in theatres on July 3, 2013.
PLEASE RELEASE THE LONE RANGER SEASONS 3, 4, 5 BEFORE THE END OF TIME.

This particular release is part of the seasons one and two release, providing the buyer with discs 2, 4, 6 and 7 from that set (yet labeled discs 1-4). The labeling on the menu screen, however, coincides with the discs in the larger set.

That said, I am really glad that I just purchased this smaller set, as the quality is quite below par, and I would hate to have splurged and spent more money for low quality material. (Especially the $129 going rate for the complete series!)

Picture quality is above average, though film damage still pops up from time to time. My problem is with the way this set was assembled, and the source material.

The times for the episodes vary from ~25 to...
